Mona Nobakht, Ph.D., P.E.

Project Engineer

Dr. Nobakht is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 8 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. She holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, specializing in pavement engineering. Her expertise spans pavement materials characterization, pavement design and evaluation, forensics, and pavement management. Prior to joining QES, Dr. Nobakht served as a project manager at the Texas Department of Transportation (DOT), where she led various pavement forensics, design, and rehabilitation projects. In her role, she also provided technical support to Texas districts and oversaw consultants’ engineering work. Additionally, Dr. Nobakht has successfully implemented Pavement Management Systems for several cities and counties in Texas. As a former researcher with the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), she conducted multiple pavement research projects for Texas and Oklahoma DOTs. Dr. Nobakht remains actively involved in cutting-edge research, publishing scientific articles, and delivering presentations at national conferences.
