Matt Baker

Pavement Management Associate

Matt Baker joined QES in 2016 rating pavement distresses and developing software programs. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. Matt developed the tablet application we currently use for manual distress ratings. He has developed several applications for the processing and comparison of high-speed pavement distress data.

Matt is the lead data analyst for our distress data Quality Assurance reviews of 31,000 miles of roadway annually. Additionally, he upgraded and maintains the analysis algorithms used for the comparison of transverse pavement profile data for AASHTO Provisional Standards PP106-110.
